To celebrate Chaz Mostert’s maiden Supercars championship, we’re taking a look at his top five most valuable models. The composition and order of the list might surprise you, with a few entries appearing from seemingly nowhere. Interestingly, the combined difference between the highest and lowest values—new and used—is just $52, making this one of the tightest top fives we’ve seen. Let’s count them down…

Number 5

How is it that arguably Chaz’s greatest achievement—at least in model form to date—sits at the bottom of the list? As noted above, there’s very little separating the top five, but the fact that this model has three times the production run of the next highest helps explain its position.

It’s been a solid year for this model, with its combined new and used value up 8.2%, and both conditions now hovering around the $400 mark.

Number 4

What a way to debut at Bathurst, driving a Dick Johnson Racing entry in the iconic Greens-Tuf retro livery. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a storybook ending—a huge crash in practice meant they missed qualifying, leaving them 21st and five laps down in the race. Who could have known that just 12 months later, Chaz would claim the top prize?

With 1,200 produced, this model combines Chaz, DJR, Bathurst, and the Greens-Tuf livery, making it highly sought after despite its sealed resin construction. It has seen strong growth this year, up 34.4%, and now sits around $395/$435—if you can find one!

Number 3

It took Chaz 10 races to claim his maiden win in the 2015 season. He and teammate Mark Winterbottom were a dominant pairing, and at several points it looked like the championship could go Chaz’s way—until a season-ending crash at Bathurst dashed those hopes.

Produced by APEX Replicas, this sealed resin model represents Chaz’s 2015 season car, while Authentic Collectables produced his Sandown 500 runner-up car in diecast with opening parts. The Winton model has been a standout performer this year, up 38.9% thanks to a peak sale of $600 in June. Its current Diecast Detective Price of $550/$285 reflects that record sale and a continuation of the strong demand seen in 2024.

Number 2

Despite not winning a race all year, Chaz's inaugural Gen3 car is at the pointy end of values. A tight production run for just 324 models saw prices spike within a month of release, peaking at $659 three months after release.

2025 has seen values drop significantly, down 12.5% YTD, but values remain high at $405/$445.

Number 1

Taking out the top spot is the first Supercar model produced from Chaz's career. Strangely, APEX Replicas chose Chaz's Hidden Valley round car instead of his maiden race winner from Queensland Raceway. There was only a one month difference between the two events, so one has to assume that the Darwin model was committed to well prior to Chaz's win. It's a shame, but at the end of the day, it's more or less the same car.

A low-volume seller due to its low-production run of just 438 made, it's had a solid year of growth up 9.4%, with the highlight being a record used sale of $599 in July. It is currently a $425/$490 car.
