Oscar Piastri's victory at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix wasn’t his first, but it was undoubtedly his most dominant. Shaking off the disappointment of the Australian Grand Prix just a week earlier, he delivered a strong performance in the Sprint race, finishing second. The momentum carried into qualifying, where he secured pole position and executed a flawless lights-to-flag victory on Sunday, claiming his third Grand Prix win in commanding fashion.

In just his third season, Oscar has finally found himself in a car capable of challenging for the championship. But it wasn’t always this way. As recently as the start of 2024, the MCL38 was one of the slowest cars on the grid. However, by Round 6, it had already claimed victory in Norris' hands. Oscar then secured his maiden Grand Prix win at Round 13 in Hungary, followed by a second triumph just four races later at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

Aside from Oscar's Senna tribute-liveried car from the 2024 Monaco Grand Prix—produced by Solido—only his 2023 cars have been released in 1:18 scale so far. His maiden race-winning model is sure to be a hot seller once it hits the market, with Minichamps advising a Q2 2025 release date. The 2024 Monaco Grand Prix car is also due for release by Minichamps.
