18 May, 2019: On this day five years ago, Drake Collectibles released the 1:50 scale version (Z01465) of the PACCAR T900 Legend show truck (pictured below) that was revealed at the Brisbane Truck Show two years prior. Officially referred to by Kenworth as the Legend 900, Drake Collectibles refer to their 900 range as T900 Legends.

The PACCAR show truck was the first T900 model produced following the mold’s worldwide debut earlier that year at the 2019 Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany (sample image below). Since its release, Drake Collectibles has produced 20 different variations of the T900 Legend.

A total of 514 units of the PACCAR Legend 900 show truck were produced, with collectors having the option to purchase the model either with or without a plaque. The plaque versions are particularly coveted by enthusiasts and typically command a premium on the secondary market due to their perceived exclusivity and added collectible value.

Currently, the Lockley Transport T900 (Z01608)—an exclusive release for New Zealand—is the only model rivaling the PACCAR show truck for the title of the most valuable T900. With just two recorded sales, establishing a consistent market value remains difficult. One transaction was for $700, while the other fetched nearly $1,200, suggesting strong demand but limited data to define a stable price point. There's no doubt that the PACCAR and Lockley Transport trucks will remain the most sought after and therefore valuable T900s.
